The Nintendo 3DS handheld console officially arrives in the UK on the 25th March 2011. It's newest feature is a 3D graphics screen without the need to wear special glasses.

Precision control is improved on previous versions of the DS with the introduction of an analogue nub and additional features such as the motion and gyro sensor further improve the gameplay experience.

The 3DS console has three cameras, one facing the user for self portraits and two facing outward for taking 3D photographs. The 3D depth slider control allows the user to adjust the level of the 3D image depending on your personal preference (or age, it's recommended children under 6 should have the 3D features turned off).

Street Pass lets your 3DS automatically exchange data with other 3DS consoles within the vacinity providing fresh challenges or new contenet. Spotpass allows the 3DS to connect online via wireless hotspots to receive new updates and various data downloads straight to your 3DS.One of these services being the Nintendo eShop where you can download new software updates, view games trailers and exchange games rankings with your friends.

The 3Ds console is also compatible with all previous DS games ensuring your old games do not go to waste. Initially the 3DS will be available in two different colours, Aqua Blue and Cosmos Black with a price point of £200+.
